我们介绍了耶鲁/圣胡安南方适当运动目录（SPM3）的第三部分。该目录提供约 1070 万个天体（主要为恒星）的绝对适当运动、位置和光学 B、V photometry，亮度达到 V=17.5。该目录覆盖约 3700 平方度的区域，赤纬范围为 -20 至 -45 度，排除银河平原。对于精确测量的恒星，适当运动精度估计为 4.0 毫弧秒/年。与之前的 SPM 目录版本不同，SPM3 适当运动基于 Hipparcos 目录星系，置于国际天文参考系上，系统不确定性估计为 0.4 毫弧秒/年。SPM3 目录可通过电子方式获取（http://www.astro.yale.edu/astrom/）。作为 SPM3 适当运动潜力的示例，我们检视了一组金属贫乏的主序 A 型星的银河系中心速度。大多数这些星体表现出厚盘动力学，支持将其解释为厚盘蓝变星，而非吸积成分。
