斯隆数字巡天反响映射项目:利用扩展多年基线改进滞后检测

我们研究了扩展的多年光变曲线(9年测光和5年光谱)对探测红移z>~1.5类星体连续谱变率与宽线响应之间时间滞后的影响,并与 companion paper 中给出的使用4年测光+光谱的结果进行比较。我们在三种情况下展示了扩展光变曲线的益处:(1) 滞后过长而无法被较短时长数据探测到、但可被扩展数据探测到;(2) 滞后由扩展光变曲线恢复但因光变曲线质量不足而在较短时长数据中遗漏;(3) 同一对象中不同宽线种类的滞后。这些例子证明了长期监测对于反响映射探测高红移亮类星体滞后的重要性,以及斯隆数字巡天反响映射项目最终数据集的预期表现,该数据集将具有11年测光和7年光谱基线。
