摘要
我们审查了X射线等效线如何探测椭圆星系中引力物质的形状和径向分布的理论，方法比传统的球对称方法更稳健。我们总结并更新了对NGC 720和NGC 1332的X射线观测分析，并描述了对NGC 3923的初步结果。
