来自Fermi全天变源分析的耀发伽马射线源第二星表

摘要

我们展示了利用Fermi全天变源分析(FAVA)探测到的耀发伽马射线源第二星表(2FAV),该工具对Fermi伽马射线空间望远镜上的大面积望远镜(LAT)观测的整个天空进行盲目的瞬变源搜索。与第一版FAVA星表相比,本星表受益于更大的数据集、最新的LAT数据发布(Pass 8),以及包含用于更精确定位瞬变源的似然技术的改进分析。将此分析应用于Fermi观测的前7.4年,并在0.1-0.8 GeV和0.8-300 GeV两个独立能段中,在一周的时间尺度上共探测到454次显著性大于 6σ6\sigma(试验前)的耀发。通过对这些耀发进行空间聚类,识别出518个变伽马射线源。基于位置重合,为441个源找到了可能对应体,主要属于活动星系核中的耀变体类。对于77个2FAV源,未找到可能的伽马射线对应体。对于星表中的每个源,我们提供了每次耀发事件的时间、位置和光谱。研究耀发的光谱,我们观察到与耀变体相关的耀发表现出“越亮越硬”的行为,但在低能段探测到的BL Lac耀发除外。耀发的光子指数从未显著小于1.5。对于轻子模型,在各向同性假设下,该极限表明新加速电子的光谱从未硬于 pp\sim2。
