鉴于高偏心率双星系统 Delta Scorpii 中环星盘与伴星之间可能发生碰撞，为了修正双星参数，我们获取了高角分辨率干涉观测数据。Navy Prototype Optical Interferometer (NPOI) 被用于在 2000 年以及 2005 至 2010 年期间对双星子源进行空间分辨。这些干涉观测被用于获取所有观测历元（包括 2005 和 2006 年）中两恒星子源的角距离和方位角；而基于先前的研究，对于在这两个历元是否能清晰探测到双星特征曾存在一些不确定性。本研究的结果代表了对该系统双星轨道迄今为止最完整且最精确的覆盖，并使得对将于 2011 年发生的即将到来的近星点通过时间的修正得以实现。
