射电星系的 K 距离-红移关系至 z ~ 4.5

我们采用新构建的射电样本 6C*，该样本旨在寻找 z > 4 处的射电星系，并结合完整的 3CRR 与 6CE 样本，将射电星系的 K 距离-红移关系扩展至 z ~ 4.5。6C* 的 K 距离-红移数据显著改善了该关系在高红移 (z > 2) 处的描绘。考虑到非恒星污染，以及射电亮度与恒星质量估计之间的相关性，我们发现对前述 z > 2 时恒星光度散度显著增加的主张几乎不成立。这表明我们至少在 z > 3 之前都未能探测到形成时代。
