银河盘的径向结构

摘要
在 CCD 帧中进行的三色光度测量，针对 Special Area SpA23 的低吸收窗口向反心方向，对银河盘进行深入探测。在 V = 25 时的星 magnitudes 精度可达到 10%，B-V 色差可达 V = 23。这些新数据结合更大视场范围内的较低星 magnitudes 的相机测量数据，可提供强有力的证据表明，银河密度比例尺长度相对较短（2.5 kpc），且在 6 kpc 之外会急剧下降。
