摘要
有观点认为，我们所知的生命所使用的有限蛋白质集合不可能通过达尔文选择过程从所有可能的蛋白质中产生。这个概率论证包含了一些可能不成立的隐含假设。我们提出了多种考量，以表明在蛋白质进化过程中需要被采样的氨基酸序列数量远小于该论证所假设的数量。
