3 TeV缪子对撞机阶段的物理论据

摘要

在通向质心能量10 TeV或更高的缪子对撞机的道路上,3 TeV阶段成为一个引人注目的选项。审视此类缪子对撞机的物理潜力是本文档的主要目的。为勾勒各阶段物理性能的进展,我们也给出了若干更高能量的灵敏度预期。在3 TeV缪子对撞机上有许多探测新物理的机遇。其中一些与已有详尽论述的CLIC 3 TeV能段物理论据相同,包括测量希格斯三次耦合,以及检验希格斯玻色子和顶夸克在20 TeV尺度上可能的复合本质。其他机遇是3 TeV缪子对撞机独有的,源于对撞的是缪子而非电子。通过研究探索当前gg-2与BB物理反常的微观起源的潜力可为例证,这两者均与缪子相关。
