NGC 6946 的模式速度

我们通过研究 H-alpha Fabry-Perot 观测得到的速度场，探讨了棒旋星系 NGC 6946 的运动学特征，利用 Tremaine-Weinberg 方法确定了棒的模式速度，发现主模式速度为 21.7 (+4.0,-0.8) km/s/kpc。我们的数据清楚地表明该星系中存在另一个模式，其模式速度是大模式的两倍以上。我们利用本轮近似推导了共振半径的位置，随后确定了半径之间的模式速度，发现内林德布拉德共振（Inner Lindblad Resonance）半径内部已演化出一个类棒系统。
