Parkes 多波束脉冲星调查：初步结果

一项针对银河平原的射电脉冲星高频调查正在进行中，利用 64 米 Parkes 射电望远镜上的多波束接收器。我们描述了调查的动机、观测计划以及初始结果。该调查正在发现大量脉冲星，迄今为止已发现超过 500 颗。其中 8 颗为二进制脉冲星，其中 1 颗伴随质量较大的星体。至少有 8 颗为年轻脉冲星，其特征年龄小于 10 万年。其中 2 颗（Kaspi 等本会议）的表面脉冲磁场强度超过已知任何其他射电脉冲星。
