光学引力透镜实验：对小银河星云 (LMC) 的短距离尺度测量

摘要
我们报告了最近用于测量小银河星云 (LMC) 距离的双星系统 HV2274 的 UBVI 光度测量。基于观测到的星体颜色，我们确定该星体的星际掩埋 E(B-V)=0.149+/-0.015 mag。该值与从周围场红色团星光度测量得到的 HV2274 平均掩埋值 Excellent 一致。该掩埋值几乎是 Guinan 等人 (1998) 所测量值的两倍。我们讨论了掩埋估计不足的后果。HV2274 极有可能位于更靠近 LMC 的距离，距离模数为 m-M = 18.22+/-0.13 mag，从而支持 LMC 的短距离尺度。该距离模数 Excellent 地与使用 RR Lyr 和红色团星所得的最新距离测量值一致。
