NGC4696近红外面积亮度分布

摘要
我们报告了对椭圆星系NGC4696（仙女座星团中最亮的成员）的H波段观测。我们使用二维拟合算法测量了其光照剖面，直至180 arcsec（37 h^{-1}_{70} kpc）。该剖面可用de Vaucouleurs定律良好描述，其有效半径为35.3 +/- 1.0 h^{-1}_{70} kpc。无需额外的自由参数来拟合Sersic定律。允许sky level变化0.3%时，得到的剖面与2MASS数据相符。该剖面没有 truncation 或 extended halo的迹象。
