我们报告对多极星系 PPN IRAS 16594-4656 的 TIMMI2 衍射极限中红外图像。通过使用 Lucy-Richardson 反卷积算法，我们恢复了内层区域 8.6 和 11.5 微米处的双峰形貌。我们将观测到的中红外结构解释为检测到两条 limb-brightened 峰值，表明 IRAS 16594-4656 存在尘埃环形结构。我们发现假设的尘埃环的双圆锥开口与在 HST 光学图像中识别的一种双向喷流良好吻合。
