摘要
詹姆斯·韦伯空间望远镜(JWST)上的中红外仪器(MIRI)提供 5 至 28.5 微米波长范围的测量。MIRI 在单一“封装”内具备四项关键科学功能:测光成像、日冕观测、单源低分辨本领(R ~ 100)光谱测量以及中等分辨本领(R ~ 1500 至 3500)积分场光谱测量。配套的冷却系统将 MIRI 维持在 < 6.7 K 的工作温度。本文描述了 MIRI 设计背后的驱动原则、主要设计参数及其在“按建造状态”仪器中的实现。本文还描述了促成 2012 年将经过测试与校准的飞行模型交付给 NASA 的测试程序,以及交付后对关键接口要求的确认。
