XMM-Newton捕获的合并星系团Abell 85

我们的XMM-Newton观测确认了首次被ROSAT探测到的4 Mpc延伸纤维,X射线温度约为2 keV,可能由正在坠入星系团的星系团构成。将温度图与数值模拟进行比较显示,Abell 85过去曾经历剧烈的合并活动,中心区域也未完全放松。最后,我们计算了反投影温度轮廓,并结合面积亮度,用于估算熵和压力轮廓。Abell 85仅在中心出现轻微的熵值减缓,无明显的“熵底”(entropy floor)证据。
