Meinunger "非红色"天体

摘要
Meinunger（1972）指出的四个高纬度慢变变量星被标记为"nicht rote"（"not red"），因而颇具好奇。我们此前报告过（Margon & Deutsch 1997），其中一个对象CC Boo实际上是一颗QSO。本文我们present观测数据，证明其余三个对象也是高度变动的活跃星系核。最有趣的对象或许是S 10765（=NGP9 F324-0276706），其被证明是一颗在z=0.063处的resolved星系。尽管其报告的快速且大的变幅约为~1.6 mag，但其光谱是 perfectly normal星系，无emission线或显著的nonthermal continuum。我们也present新的光谱和光度观测数据，针对被Meinunger建议为RR Lyrae星 Despite其非常微弱的星等（<B>=19.4）的AR CVn。该对象确实是已知的最远的RR Lyrae星之一，其星系中心距约为~40 kpc。
