肝脏肿瘤分割基准(LiTS)

摘要

在这项工作中,我们报告了肝脏肿瘤分割基准(Liver Tumor Segmentation Benchmark, LiTS)的设置与结果,该基准与2017年IEEE国际生物医学成像研讨会(ISBI)以及2017和2018年医学图像计算与计算机辅助干预国际会议(MICCAI)联合组织。图像数据集具有多样性,包含原发与继发肿瘤,其大小和外观各异,且病灶与背景对比度水平不同(高密度/低密度),由七家医院及研究机构合作创建。七十五个提交的肝脏及肝脏肿瘤分割算法在131个计算机断层扫描(CT)体积上训练,并在来自不同患者的70张未见测试图像上测试。我们发现,在三次活动中,没有单个算法在肝脏和肝脏肿瘤上均表现最佳。最佳的肝脏分割算法达到了0.963的Dice分数,而对于肿瘤分割,最佳算法分别取得了0.674(ISBI 2017)、0.702(MICCAI 2017)和0.739(MICCAI 2018)的Dice分数。回顾性地,我们对肝脏肿瘤检测做了额外分析,揭示并非所有表现顶尖的分割算法在肿瘤检测上都表现良好。最佳的肝脏肿瘤检测方法取得了病灶级召回率0.458(ISBI 2017)、0.515(MICCAI 2017)和0.554(MICCAI 2018),表明仍需进一步研究。LiTS仍是一个活跃的研究基准与资源,例如为\url{http://medicaldecathlon.com/}中的肝脏相关分割任务做出贡献。此外,数据和在线评估均可通过\url{www.lits-challenge.com}获取。
