近邻星系中的星际尘埃性质

摘要

本文概述了近邻星系星际介质中尘埃的构成、物理条件与可观测量。我们首先回顾了这些天体中尘埃的宏观空间分布及其对我们研究颗粒物理能力的影响。我们还讨论了使用尘埃示踪物作为诊断工具的可能性。随后,我们考察了当前对不同环境下尘埃微观本征性质的理解,这些理解源自全电磁波段的不同可观测量:发射、消光、偏振、耗尽。最后,我们总结了在局部尺度或宇宙时间内所揭示的颗粒演化线索。我们对不同的演化情景进行了展望。我们试图对各类过程的主要观测约束、分析方法和建模框架进行综合性呈现。我们未涵盖银河系与遥远星系的尘埃性质,也未涵盖星周或活动星系核环面尘埃。
