The Importance of Off-Axis Beaming in Jet Models

摘要
伽马暴 (GRBs) 被认为源于以相对速度运动的准直材料喷流。即使从喷流的准直角之外观察，也应能看到来自此类喷流的辐射。我们采用蒙特卡罗人口综合方法，并包含此 off-axis beaming 效应，可将各种 GRB 喷流模型与观测暴击的全球特性进行比较。我们探讨 X射线暴 (XRFs) 在 HETE-2 和 BeppoSAX 所观测到的现象是否可被经典 GRB 远距离观察所解释，并逐步探讨 off-axis beaming 在当前暴击样本中的重要性。
