摘要
氢强度与实时分析实验(HIRAX)是一台正在研制的射电干涉阵列,其初始 256 单元阵列将部署于南非射电天文观测台(SARAO)的平方公里阵列(SKA)台址。每台 6 米、f/0.23 天线将配备工作在 400-800 MHz 频率范围内的双极化馈源。通过对中性氢 21 cm 发射线的强度映射,HIRAX 将在红移范围 0.775 < z < 2.55 内对约 15000 平方度南天的大尺度结构分布进行宇宙学巡天。当与普朗克卫星的观测结合时,此类巡天的统计能力足以对暗能量状态方程参数给出约 7% 的约束。此外,HIRAX 将为射电暂现源与 HI 吸收体科学提供极具竞争力的平台,同时支持大量交叉相关研究。在本文中,我们描述了实验的科学目标、望远镜系统各子组件的设计与状态概览,并给出了初始 256 单元阵列的预期性能以及计划未来扩展至最终 1024 单元阵列的设想。
