我们描述了通过对最高红移类星体的观测来理解大尺度(10-100 kpc)相对论性喷流系统的努力。文中介绍了对约 30 个 z>3.4 类星体进行射电喷流搜索的 VLA 巡天结果,以及对 4 个选定目标的新 Chandra 观测结果。
