高分辨率日冕成像仪(Hi-C 2.1)的第三次飞行发生于 2018 年 5 月 29 日,该探空火箭从新墨西哥州的白沙导弹靶场发射。仪器已从其原始构型(Hi-C 1)改装,以在峰值约 172 埃的通道观测日冕,并使用了新定制的低噪声相机。仪器瞄准活动区 12712,以 4.4 秒的节奏捕获了 78 幅图像(18:56:22–19:01:57 UT;5 分 35 秒观测时间)。由于火箭的准周期运动模糊,图像空间分辨率有所变化;清晰图像中包含至少 0.47 角秒的已分辨特征。多次地基与空基望远镜的协同观测提供了观测色球与日冕之间质量和能量耦合的空前机遇。本文给出仪器与数据集的详细信息。
