高场磁性白矮星 LP 790-29：并非快速旋转星体

摘要
我们通过偏振监测研究了磁性白矮星 LP 790-29 = LHS 2293 的性质，寻找短期变率性。未发现任何周期性，且我们有高度把握地排除了其在 4 秒至 1.5 小时之间为快速旋转的可能性。正弦变化的最大振幅为 Delta R < 0.009 mag 和 Delta V_R < 0.7%，其平均值为 R 带圆极化值为 V_R = +9.1+/-0.3%。结合其他作者的早期结果，我们的观测表明 LP 790-29 实际上是一种极其缓慢旋转的单体白矮星，而非未被识别的快速旋转星体和/或伪装猎户杂行星。
