软件工程(SE)会议对于知识交换和合作至关重要，但也可能对位于地理距离较远的地区（如新西兰）的研究者造成重大障碍。我们确定了包括高旅行成本、学术日历错位以及代表性不足等障碍，并提出包括混合参与、成本敏感场所以及治理改革等策略。我们提出建议以促进全球参与的平等性，并强化SE研究社区。
