我们利用 KaVA(KVN 和 VERA 阵列,即韩国甚长基线干涉网 KVN 与射电天体测量甚长基线干涉探测 VERA 的新组合阵列),对与大质量恒星形成区 IRAS 18151-1208 中的毫米核 MM2 相关的 44 GHz I 类甲醇脉泽 () 进行了首次甚长基线干涉测量 (VLBI) 成像。我们成功以 2.7 毫角秒×1.5 毫角秒 (mas) 的综合束斑尺寸对致密脉泽特征进行了成像。这些特征仅在长度短于约 650 km(对应 uv 覆盖中 100 Mlambda)的有限数量基线上被检测到。44 GHz 甲醇脉泽的中心速度和速度宽度与静止气体一致,而非 SiO 热谱线示踪的外流。脉泽特征中的最小分量尺寸约为 5 mas × 2 mas,假设距离为 3 kpc,这对应于约 15 AU × 6 AU 的线性尺寸。这些特征的亮温度范围从约 到 K,高于先前具有约 50 mas 最高空间分辨率的甚大阵列 (Very Large Array) 观测所估计的下限。发现 IRAS 18151-1208 中的 44 GHz I 类甲醇脉泽与 MM2 核相关,据信 MM2 核的演化程度低于与 6.7 GHz II 类甲醇脉泽相关的另一个毫米核 MM1。
