我们展示了通过 Gaia DR2 确认的首颗金属污染单白矮星。GaiaJ1738-0826 是从 Gaia DR2 数据中的颜色和绝对星等截断筛选出来的，在利克天文台的初始光谱表征中被发现具有强烈的 Ca II 吸收。值得注意的是，GaiaJ1738-0826 在许多方面类似于首颗被确认的金属污染氢大气白矮星 DAZ 型 G74-7。
