EUSO@TurLab:Mini-EUSO工程模型测试

摘要

TurLab设施是一个位于都灵大学物理系的实验室,配备有直径5米、深1米的旋转水槽。最初,它主要建于研究不同尺度下旋转在流体行为(如大气和海洋流动)中起关键作用的系统。过去几年,TurLab设施已被用于开展与利用荧光技术从空间观测极高能宇宙射线(EECRs)相关的实验。例如,在JEM-EUSO任务中,漫射夜空背景光和人工光源在望远镜视场(Field of View)内可能在时间和空间上显著变化。实现了光电探测模块(PDM)中1级(L1)和2级(L2)触发逻辑的Mini-EUSO工程模型(Mini-EUSO EM)焦平面已在TurLab进行测试。还开展了将类EUSO探测器用于空间碎片(SD)监测与成像探测器等其他类型应用可能性的相关测试。本文介绍了EUSO@TurLab项目在这些不同课题上获得的测试与结果。
