条状结构对活跃星系核遮蔽的影响

摘要
我们提供了关于气体吸收柱密度与类型2 Seifert 核周围恒星条状结构存在性之间强相关性的证据。强条状星系中类型2 Seifert 星系的平均 Nh 高于非条状星系约两个数量级。超过80%的厚 Compton (Nh>10^24 cm^-2) 类型2 Seifert 星系为条状星系。这一结果表明，恒星条状结构在驱动活跃核附近的气体方面具有显著作用。
