棒旋结构对电离星际介质的影响:来自银河系类比星系的光学发射线
摘要
银河系棒内气体最近被证实为宇宙中最近的低电离(核)发射区——LI(N)ER——例子。为更好理解该气体性质,我们利用具有积分视场光谱的面朝星系样本,研究 240 个有棒与 250 个无棒星系的电离气体条件,重点关注与银河系最相似的那些。利用 [NII] λ6584、Hα、[OIII] λ5007 与 Hβ 的强光学线发射,通过 Baldwin-Phillips-Terlevich(BPT)图诊断跨星系及银河系气体的主导电离机制。与相似的无棒对应体相比,有棒星系在内区表现出恒星形成的强烈抑制,以及复合与类 LI(N)ER 光谱的增加。该效应在总恒星质量极低(log₁₀(M_⋆/M_⊙) ≲ 10.4)或极高(log₁₀(M_⋆/M_⊙) ≳ 11.1)的星系中减弱。来自 Galaxy Zoo:3D 的棒掩模显示了棒对电离气体的非轴对称效应,并有助于预测银河系棒附近电离气体条件的面朝分布。
