双类星体 Q2138-431：暗星系引力透镜？

我们报告发现新型引力透镜候选体 Q2138-431AB，包含两个红移为 1.641 的类星体像，间距 4.5 角秒。两幅像的光谱极为相似，红移差小于 115 km/s。两幅像的 B_J magnitudes 分别为 19.8 与 21.0。尽管进行深层搜索与图像减法，仍未发现 R < 23.8 的透镜星系。系统配置模型暗示，任何透镜星系的质量-光度比大约为 1000 M_sun/L_sun，伊森-德沙总宇宙模型下的最低绝对下限为 200 M_sun/L_sun。我们得出结论：观测最可能的解释是暗星系引力透镜，亦可能是双类星体现象。
