弱相互作用粒子（FIPs）或许能为粒子物理与宇宙学标准模型之外的（部分）开放问题提供解答。在汉堡的 DESY，三项基于非加速器的实验将搜寻作为暗物质候选者的 FIPs（ALPS II、BabyIAXO），或构成我们银河系中暗物质的 FIPs（MADMAX）。
