摘要
我们描述了杰斐逊实验室DarkLight实验的当前状态。DarkLight的动机是,质量范围在10至100 MeV/c的暗光子可能将暗扇区与标准模型耦合。DarkLight将利用杰斐逊实验室能量回收直线加速器上强度为5 mA的100 MeV电子束,入射到无窗气体分子氢靶上,精确测量电子-质子散射。将探测完整的末态,包括散射电子、反冲质子和e+e-对。第一阶段实验已获资助,预计在未来18个月内获取数据。完整的第二阶段实验正在最终设计中,可在第一阶段完成后两年内运行。DarkLight实验推动了束流、靶和探测器新技术的开发,并为低动量转移下的电子散射实验提供了新手段。
