日冕季风:由周期性日冕雨揭示的热不平衡

摘要

我们报道在临边序列的 {\it Solar Dynamics Observatory}/Atmospheric Imaging Assembly 图像中发现周期性日冕雨。这些阵雨与 Auchere 等人(2014)以及 Froment 等人(2015, 2017)所描述的日冕环的周期性(6.6~hr)强度脉动共空间且同相。这些新观测使得对两种现象的统一描述成为可能。日冕雨与环的周期性强度脉动是同一物理过程的两个表现:由热不平衡(TNE)状态导致的蒸发/凝聚循环。在日冕温度附近的涨落产生环的强度脉动,而如果热失控将周期性凝聚体冷却至过渡区(TR)温度及以下,则雨沿其腿下落。该情景与准稳态且足点加热环的数值模型预言一致。在所研究视场中若干其他结构里存在日冕雨——尽管非周期——意味着此类加热在大尺度上起作用。
