宜居性研究持续的重要性

摘要
这是一份回应美国国家科学院“系外行星科学战略”征集的白皮书。我们总结了理论宜居性研究的最新进展，并论证此类研究对指导和解释观测仍将十分重要。一维与三维气候建模者之间的相互作用将是解决近期模型结果差异并改进宜居性研究所必需的。观测能力也需提升。尽管利用现有能力可进行基本观测，但要将气候模型改进到行星宜居性研究所需水平，必须取得技术进步。
