LINC--NIRVANA (LN)是一个当前安装于大型双筒望远镜(LBT)后弯格里高利焦点的MCAO模块。它搭载了一台最初设计用于实现望远镜干涉成像焦站的相机。LN遵循LBT双筒策略,具有两个孪生通道:一个双层定向多层共轭自适应光学系统辅助两臂,提供高阶波前校正。为了抵消视场旋转,对两个地面波前传感器施加机械消旋,对两个高层传感器施加光学(K镜)消旋,从而相对于波前传感器上的棱锥固定焦平面的位置。消旋在波前传感器上引入了光瞳图像旋转,从而相应地改变了变形镜在传感器上的投影。
