摘要

检讨了将银河中最亮恒星作为距离指示器的做法，以及该方法支持“短”距离尺度的主张。将来自多个观测项目的数据整合，并提供一种严格计量误差的方法。发现该方法的真实不确定性远大于其倡导者所声称的。该方法无法区分“长”与“短”距离尺度。
