Ia 型超新星的双峰性

我们评论了 progenitors 形成与其作为 Ia 型 SNe 爆发之间的延迟时间分布中存在的双峰性。文献中存在两种此类双峰性的“类型”：一种“弱”双峰性，即 Ia 型 SNe 必须源自年轻和年老两类 progenitors；另一种“强”双峰性，即约有一半的系统在形成后 年内爆发。“弱”双峰性的观测依据是爆发率与宿主星系 SFR 的依赖性，而“强”双峰性则基于射电噪和射电宁静早型星系中不同的爆发率。我们回顾了这些双峰性的证据。最后，我们估算了因大质量星爆中的尘埃消光而被光学和近红外搜索遗漏的 SNe 比例。
