阿塔卡马宇宙学望远镜(ACT):波束轮廓与首批SZ星团图

摘要

阿塔卡马宇宙学望远镜(ACT)目前正在以角分分辨率在148 GHz、218 GHz和277 GHz频率观测宇宙微波背景辐射。本文介绍了ACT的首批结果。数据分析采用了一种最大似然成图方法,该方法使用B样条对大气信号进行建模并去除。该方法已用于制作高精度波束图,并由此确定了实验的窗函数。这些波束信息直接影响所有后续数据分析。我们还利用该方法通过苏尼亚耶夫-泽尔多维奇(SZ)效应对一批星系团进行了成图,并展示了五个先前通过X射线或SZ观测探测到的星系团。我们给出了每个星系团的积分康普顿y参数测量值。特别值得关注的是,我们探测到了A3128中红移z=0.44的成分,而目前未探测到其低红移部分,这有力地证明了较远的那个星系团质量更大,与X射线测量结果一致。这是SZ效应不依赖于红移的质量选择的一个引人注目的例子。
