Gl879与Fomalhaut的年龄

摘要
我们在此估算Beta Pic类恒星原型之一Fomalhaut的年龄，依据其共正运动伴星Gl879的性质。通过结合从锂丰度、旋转速度、HR图位置以及輰状活动中所得的约束，我们得出Gl879（因此也是Fomalhaut）的年龄为200±100 Myr。此年龄估计与完全独立地通过对Fomalhaut在HR图中的位置进行等时模型拟合所得的年龄估计相当吻合，从而确认等出云在A型星系中可以持续数百万年。
