\textit{Euclid}:从星系到引力波——预测随机引力波背景各向异性及其交叉相关

摘要

我们估计因压缩双粒子坍缩(CBC)事件引起的随机引力波背景(SGWB)能量密度的�幅及空间各向异性,包括双黑洞(BBH)、双中子星(BNS)以及黑洞-中子星(BHNS)合并事件。我们以 \textit{Euclid} 联盟开发的旗舰级星系目录作为出发点。对于目录中的每颗星系,我们利用模拟得到的质量和星际形成历史约束该星系的星际形成历史,并通过 CBC 合并预测其对引力波能量密度的贡献。将来自目录中所有星系的贡献相加后,可得到该 CBC SGWB 的频谱和空间各向异性的预测。我们还将该预测与由压缩双粒子生成的半解析 SGWB 模型进行比较。我们识别出一组有效参数,能够捕捉这些模型的关键特征,并应用贝叶斯框架在假设理想情境下的 cosmic variance 限制搜索中推断这些参数。这标志着开发一个综合框架的第一步,最终将使得 SGWB 各向异性与 \textit{Euclid} 星系数据的相关性成为可能,从而可能从这一新观测量中提取有价值的天体物理信息。
