Tevatron-for-LHC量子色力学工作组成立报告

摘要

Tevatron运行第2期的实验已累积超过1 inverse femtobarn的高横向动量数据。这种数据集允许进行首次精度(即在few percent水平上进行理论与实验之间的比较)的量子色力学测试。虽然大型强子对撞机被设计为发现机器,但基本的量子色力学分析仍需要进行以理解工作环境。Tevatron-for-LHC工作坊旨在作为通信链接,将Tevatron的专长传递给LHC社区,并测试来自LHC社区的新分析思想。TeV4LHC量子色力学工作组聚焦于强子对撞机上的重要方面:喷流定义、Parton分布函数的提取与使用、底层事件、蒙特卡罗调参和衍射物理。本报告总结了该工作坊期间取得的一些成果。
