通过质量-8系统中的β射线角分布测量检验守恒矢量流假说

摘要

为了检验守恒矢量流(CVC)假说,我们观测了8Li和8B自旋排列的β射线角关联。将排列关联项与已知的β-α角关联项结合,确定了对该关联项有贡献的所有矩阵元。由β射线关联项导出的弱磁项为7.5±0.2,与基于CVC假说由类似γ衰变测量导出的CVC预测值7.3±0.2一致。然而,对于与弱矢量流相关的二级禁戒项,没有一致的CVC预测。该二级禁戒项的实验值为1.0±0.3,而CVC预测值为0.1±0.4或2.1±0.5。
