TESS对WASP-121 b相位曲线的观测

我们研究了由凌星系外行星巡天卫星(TESS)观测到的超热木星WASP-121 b的红光学光度测量,并通过辐射传输模拟对其大气进行建模。鉴于其约1.275\sim1.275天的短轨道周期、膨胀状态和明亮的宿主恒星,WASP-121 b对于详细的大气表征极为有利。为此,我们使用\texttt{allesfitter}来表征其完整的红光学相位曲线,包括行星相位调制和次食。我们测得TESS通带内的昼面和夜面亮度温度分别为3012+40 423012\substack{+40 \ -42} K和2022+254 6022022\substack{+254 \ -602} K,并且未发现最亮点与星下点之间存在统计显著的相位偏移。这与行星上低效的热量再循环一致。然后,我们进行大气反演分析,以推断WASP-121 b的昼面大气属性,如其整体组成、反照率和热量再循环。我们确认了大气中的温度逆增,并提出H^-、TiO和VO是导致逆增的潜在原因,它们在低气压处吸收光学波长的热量。未来对WASP-121 b的HST和JWST观测将受益于TESS测得的其首个完整相位曲线。
