摘要
我们展示了旧金山加州艺术学院的 Donald Fortescue 教授与 IceCube 合作组的 Gwenhael de Wasseige 博士之间跨学科合作的结果。所呈现的作品始于 Fortescue 在 2016/17 年南半球夏季于南极点受美国国家自然科学基金资助的南极艺术家与作家奖学金期间。该合作的一个成果是视频作品 Axis Mundi——一部在南极点 24 小时内拍摄的延时电影，结合同时采样的 IceCube 数据转译为声音。Axis Mundi 捕捉了地球在太空中的自转、大气的瞬时运动以及亚原子粒子穿过极地冰层的过程，为我们提供 physically engage with 这些现象的途径。我们详述了延时摄影与大气 muon 数据转译的实现方式，并讨论了此类合作的好处。
