摘要
噬菌体通过施加强选择压力，在微生物生态系统中对平衡细菌种群和促进进化起着核心作用。在此我们回顾一些已知的、以自然促进噬菌体与细菌共存的方式调节二者相互作用的方面。我们聚焦于由结构、物理或生理约束所产生的调节机制。我们认为它们应在许多噬菌体-细菌系统中发挥作用，从而提供可持续的多样性。
