SuperWASP 对脉动 Am 星的观测

摘要

我们利用 SuperWASP 测光数据,以 1 mmag 的测光精度研究了超过 1600 颗 Am 星。与先前的认知相反,我们发现约 200 颗 Am 星是脉动的 delta Sct 和 gamma Dor 星,其振幅较低,因此在先前范围较小的研究中被遗漏。虽然振幅普遍较低,但 Am 星中脉动的存在对大气对流施加了很强的约束,并可能要求脉动是层流的。虽然此前已发现一些脉动的 Am 星是 delta Sct 星,但本文给出了已知脉动的 Am 星的绝大多数。它们将构成未来在原子扩散存在下对脉动进行统计研究的基础。
