摘要

由于弱衰变中的CP破坏已由KM机制成功描述，强CP问题难以轻易解决。这促使我们重新考虑该问题。如果放弃轴子和无质量上夸克，我们必须扩展标准模型。扩展到 $SU(3)^3 \times S_3$ 统一导致以下情况：{\it 如果} CP是高能对称性，并且适当的对称性破缺尺度层级存在，那么QCD子理论的 $\bar{\theta}$ 参数保证足够小。我们发现 $\bar{\theta} < 10^{-11}$ ，而中子电偶极矩的经验极限仅要求 $\bar{\theta} < 1.3 \times 10^{-10}$ 。
