W3 区域中水的亚毫米辐射

摘要

我们对W3星形成区正水的1(10)-1(01)跃迁的亚毫米辐射进行了测绘。对W3 IRS4和W3 IRS5区域的5'×5'图谱显示,在图中约一半位置都检测到强烈的水线信号。与SWAS之前观测结果相比较,奥丁仪器检测到的水线信号强度较大,表明我们正在观测来自广域的水发射。整个图谱中,许多位置的线信号呈双峰结构,吸收峰位于-39 km/s;但也有一些位置显示单一的强线峰位于-43 km/s。我们将双峰线信号解释为W3 IRS5附近的类星体水发射,单峰的较窄的蓝移线则来自W3 IRS4附近的发射。在此模型下,图谱中谱线的特殊形态源于W3 IRS4附近的发射与W3 IRS5附近较复杂线信号的蓝峰在速度上恰好一致。W3 IRS4附近的水线信号强度较大,表明我们可能正在观测到在光子支配区中增强的水发射。
