利用 VLTI/GRAVITY 对 HMXB BP Cru 进行亚毫角秒光学干涉测量

摘要

我们使用 VLTI/GRAVITY 在近红外 K 波段通过干涉测量观测了大质量 X 射线双星(HMXB)BP Cru。连续谱可见度最多只是部分被分辨,这与超巨星的预测尺寸一致。在 HeI 2.059μ2.059 \mum 和 Brγ\gamma 谱线处观测到了差分可见度振幅(ΔV5%\Delta |V| \sim 5\%)和相位(Δϕ2deg\Delta \phi \sim 2 \deg)信号,其中后者在发射中表现强烈,这对于供体星的光谱类型而言是不寻常的。对于基线 B100B \sim 100m,差分相位均方根 0.2deg\sim 0.2 \deg 对应于 2μ\sim 2 \muas 的天体测量精度。在干涉测量的边缘分辨极限下进行的模型无关分析揭示了具有强波长依赖性的不对称且延展的发射。我们提出了基于延展且扭曲的星风和/或高密度气体流的几何模型,长期以来人们预测该系统中存在这种气体流。观测表明,光学干涉测量现在能够在吸积发生的空间尺度上分辨 HMXB,从而探测致密天体的引力和辐射场对其环境的影响。
